- Philmont trek -- WOW, FANTASTIC, GREAT, "Totally sick"
We hiked approximately 60 miles through the most beautiful mountains New Mexico had to offer.

June 18 - 20, 2004

- Highland Lakes near Ebbets Pass. This was our high altitude training hike for Philmont. We climbed Arnot Peak at 10,050 and Hiram Peak at 9,800.

- Oholone Wilderness Hike. Big training hike for Philmont trek crews. Hiked from Oholone College to Lake Del Valle. 28 Miles. Lots of uphill. Lots of downhill.

- Backpacking to Sword Lake. Great hike - Uphill both ways, or so it seemed. Fantastic lake. The water was warm and the jumping rock was TALL (VERY TALL).

July 25 - 27, 2003

- White Water Rafting *** AWESOME ***
The crew was wet and wild. Lots of white water. 25 foot jumping rock. Excellent adventure! With 4 rafts, we had a large crew in constant motion. Both days on the water were exciting and fun.

July 19 - 20, 2003

- Water weekend. Tubing and swimming at Lake Berryessa. We had 2 power boats, so we had lots of time on the water. Tubing for a bruising. The crew flew from wake to wake.

June 20 - 22, 2003

- This was our rappelling and spelunking trip. Incredible! We camped at Lake Utica. We took a couple of canoes and kayaks. Lots of fun on the lake. On Sunday we went down to Moaning Caverns. Most of us went on a 160' rappel and a spent a couple of hours slithering through the lower caves.

June 6 - 7, 2003

- The crew did Camporall. Spent the night in Alameda County faire grounds. All the crews got together. It was fun meeting and working with the other crews. For the expo, we did first aid for cub scouts and boy scouts. CPR, bandages, first aid kits. The crew helped a lot of scouts with their advancement. Hey, we did so good we were acknowledged with an award for our crew's Excellence. Most Excellent!

May 17 - May 18, 2003

- We had our horseback & beach trip outing. Camped in Memorial Park. Nice campground. The smores were tasty. We buried Hannah on the beach (standing up). The tide was coming in so her eyes kept getting bigger. The horses were great. We rode on the beach for a couple of hours. Emma was the best rider. We all had a lot of fun.

- We worked as staff at Camporee. Ran the first aid station. Lots of rain and mud. The campfire was fun. We were the loudest ones there, and our skits were the best.

- We had a terrific trip to Death Valley. Magnificent scenery, unusual weather (snow), terrific crew. Click here to see the Death Valley trip pictures.

- We went up to Dodge Ridge for a ski & snow boarding trip. It was great fun everyone was in high spirits. There were 58 people there and we celebrated our sister Troop's SPL's birthday.

- Well tonight we had elections for our President, Vice President, and the Treasure. Each person holds their position for about 6 months before being re-elected.

- Today we all met as a group and went out bowling. It was loads of fun and the adults had the best scores overall. So lets give it up for them, because the crew members were to busy distracting each other and trying to mess others up.
